Our employees have a strong spirit of philanthropy and volunteerism. We encourage our employees to actively participate in their communities, and Enbridge Fueling Futures supports them to make an even bigger impact for the causes they care about.
There are lots of ways our employees can boost their giving, including matching donations, earning funds for organizations they volunteer with, paid time off to volunteer and applying for grants to support projects in their community.
Through this support, everyone at Enbridge gains a better understanding of our communities and the ways we can work together to make our communities better places to live and tomorrow better than today.

First Robotics
The FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) inspires students, teachers and mentors to work together to build a robot to face off against other robots. FIRST not only promotes student development in the STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) disciplines, they also cultivate important values like safety, teamwork and collaboration, and something FIRST calls "gracious professionalism."
We believe investing in today’s youth has many rewards. Continuing the company's legacy of community giving, we are very pleased to support the 2023 FIRST Robotics Canada (FIRST) and FIRST Robotics Competitions (FRC) that provide high school students with opportunities to learn new skills that prepare them for the future. Enbridge Gas is excited to support the FRC competitions and 9 Ontario secondary school teams with a $70,000 platinum-level sponsorship.
United Way
When communities thrive, we thrive. And what better way to give back than through support of United Way. Through United Way, individuals and families in communities across Ontario have access to vital social services that quite simply change their living conditions for the better. United Way is an exceptional organization because it focuses on and continually assesses the needs of the community and directs funds and creates programs to meet those needs. In 2022, our employees and retirees, supported by the company’s matching donation program, once again demonstrated their tradition of giving by raising over $1.07M for local United Ways throughout Ontario. By working together, stronger communities are being built.
