Seaton Lands Development

Overview

Enbridge Gas Distribution Inc. ("Enbridge") has applyied to the Ontario Energy Board ("OEB") for approval to construct approximately 3.4 and 5.3 kilometers (km) of Nominal Pipe Size (NPS) 8-inch steel high pressure (HP) and NPS 6-inch steel extra high pressure (XHP) natural gas pipeline in North Pickering, Ontario. The proposed pipeline will originate from Enbridge's existing NPS 16-inch steel XHP pipeline running north-south along Sideline 16 and will terminate at the intersection of Sideline 24 and Taunton Road. The general location and study area of the proposed pipeline is identified on the map below.

Decision and Order

On June 23, 2016, the Ontario Energy Board ("OEB") issued it's Decision and Order approving Enbridge's Application.

Notice of Application

On March 31, 2016, the Ontario Energy Board ("OEB") issued its Notice of Application with respect to the filing by Enbridge for a Leave To Construct Application for approval to construct a natural gas pipeline to serve the Seaton Land Development in North Pickering, Ontario.

Application and Evidence

On March 18, 2016, Enbridge Gas Distribution Inc. filed the Leave to Construct Application with the Ontario Energy Board. 

Environmental Report

On March 10, 2016 the Environmental Report was filed with the OPCC.

Public Consultation

Information regarding the project was presented in a Public Information Session on Wednesday December 2, 2015 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Whitevale Community Centre, 405 Whitevale Road, Whitevale, Ontario.
