Showerhead Rebate Program

Great news for commercial multi-residential Enbridge Gas customers only!

Enbridge Gas Distribution is pleased to offer its' commercial multi-residential customers a rebate for each standard showerhead of 2.5 gallons per minute (gpm) or greater that you replace with an energy efficient showerhead of 1.5 gpm or less between January 1, 2017 and December 8, 2017. The customer incentive amounts to $6/showerhead.

Benefits of water conservation

  • Reduction in natural gas costs
  • Reduction in water costs
  • Fewer complaints from building occupants about insufficient hot water

Here's how the program works*

1

Ensure that all existing showerheads have a flow rate of greater than 2.5 gallons per minute (GPM) and natural gas is the source for domestic hot water heating.

2

Conduct flow rate test on the existing showerheads for 10% of the residential units at the Building Address. The flow rate test should be administered randomly on each floor on different rises throughout the building. The flow rate test results must be recorded on the completed and signed 2017 Fixed Retrofit Incentive Application Form including suite numbers where new showerheads were not installed, if applicable.

3 Once the forms are complete, send the Application and flow test results along with the proof of purchase invoice to energyserivces@enbridge.com or fax to (416) 753-6607.

Please note: Property Managers may choose to engage an installation contractor to install the showerheads and complete the flow rate testing or complete the install and testing themselves. If required, contact your Energy Solutions Consultant (ESC) or email energyservices@enbridge.com should you require bag tests to complete the flow rate tests (installation contractors will have bag test to complete the testing). The forms are to be completed by the Property Manager and installation contractor (if applicable). These forms are NOT to be completed by the unit owners or individual tenants.

As with all our incentives, terms and conditions apply. New residential premises under construction are not eligible for this rebate.
