Fixed Incentives

At Enbridge Gas Distribution, we're committed to helping you reduce your energy consumption and improve your bottom line.  Our Fixed Incentives are designed to help offset the cost of energy efficiency upgrades that will reduce the amount of natural gas you consume and your overall natural gas bills.  You will find a complete list of our 2017 Fixed Incentives below.

*Limited time double the incentive offer. Click here for more details.

Heat Recovery Ventilators (HRV)

Heat recovery ventilators are designed to keep heat in while moving stale air out.  They feature a heat-exchange core that transfers heat from the outgoing stream of stale air to the incoming stream of fresh air.  Heat recovery ventilators are ideal for:

  • Reducing demand on HVAC systems and associated natural gas consumption
  • Improving ventilation which enhances indoor air quality while reducing the developing of moisture, mildew, fungi and bacteria

Description

Incentives

Industrial facilities with Minimum heat recovery effectiveness of 61%

$0.40/CFM

Energy Recovery Ventilators (ERV)

These devices possess the same heat transfer capabilities as HRVs however they also take advantage of the humidity levels in the airflow.  In addition to heating and cooling air, HVAC systems force water out of the air in the humid summer and into the air in the dry winter.  ERVs are able to capture not only the energy savings of the heat exchange but also the energy associated with humidity levels in the air.  Overall, these devices are ideal for:

  • Reducing demand on the HVAC systems and associated natural gas consumption
  • Improving ventilation which enhances indoor air quality and humidity levels while reducing the development of moisture, mildew, fungi and other bacteria

Infrared Heaters

*Limited time double the incentive offer. Click here for more details.

Infrared heaters use electromagnetic radiation to transfer energy from a higher temperature body to a body with a lower temperature.  Infrared heaters are ideal for:

  • Providing heat to localized areas thereby reducing the energy and associated costs required to heat space that is unutilized
  • Enhancing drying capacity and processing efficiencies

Incentives

Up to 300,000 BTUs

$100

Condensing Make-Up Air Unit

Make-Up Air units provide high quality air while improving the efficiency of the heating and cooling system. They help prevent drafts, dust and dirt from entering a building. They also replace exhaust air and they reduce odours by supplying a continual flow of fresh, ventilated air.

Condensing Make-Up Air Units

Description

Incentives

Single Stage - up to 14,000 CFM

$500 or $0.15/CFM (whichever is greater)

Two Speed - up to 14,000 CFM

$500 or $0.30/CFM (whichever is greater)

Destratification Fans

Without the right mechanism in place to properly circulate the air in your facility, the heat will rise resulting in a significant difference in temperature between the ceiling and floor.  This discrepancy causes your heater to work much harder than necessary to constantly replace the heat that rises away from the floor area. Destratification fans are designed to redistribute the heated air from the unoccupied ceiling space back to the floor level. The use of destratification fans can therefore:

  • Reduce excess strain on your heating system
  • Lower your energy consumption and associated costs
  • Improve employee comfort levels within your facility

Incentives

Minimum diameter of 20 feet, minimum of 25 foot ceilings

$500
