Flooding in Ottawa and Surrounding Area

Flood risk in Areas of Ottawa and Gatineau - Ottawa, Renfrew County, Lanark County, United Counties of Prescott & Russell

Due to flooding in some areas of Ottawa, Enbridge Gas Distribution may have turned off gas service to your property for safety reasons.

If you smell gas, are aware of damage to natural gas meters and/or regulators or if your natural gas meter, regulator or natural gas appliances are fully or partially submerged due to flooding, call our emergency number immediately: 1-866-763-5427.

Flooding can impair the effectiveness of safety devices installed in natural gas appliances and equipment. If your house has flooded and any of your natural gas appliances have come into contact with water, they're not safe to use. If you’re renting a natural gas water heater or any other appliance that has come into contact with water, contact your service provider for an inspection and any repairs. If you own the appliance(s), contact a certified gas technician to inspect them before use. View our tips on finding a technician.
