Be sure you build energy efficiency into any home renovation. You’ll save money on your energy bills and add to your overall comfort. Here are the key areas you should be considering:

Renovate safely—call before you dig. It's the law!

If you're planning to dig for an outdoor renovation project, you must contact Ontario One Call first at 1-800-400-2255 or visit www.on1call.com before you pick up a shovel—it's the law.

Beneath the surface, there may be a network of natural gas pipes or other utilities you could easily damage by digging in the wrong spot. Hitting a pipe could injure you and others. And if damage occurs, you are responsible.

Give us at least one week's notice and we'll come out to identify the location of our gas pipes for free, so you can break the ground safely.

This free service is available seven days a week, 24 hours a day. Be sure to contact them at least one week before you dig.
