Natural Gas Vehicles

A natural gas vehicle uses natural gas as a transportation fuel. It is an economical and environmentally friendly alternative to diesel vehicles. Enbridge provides natural gas vehicle refueling stations and is an advocate of natural gas as a transportation fuel.

How it works

Natural gas is a clean burning fossil fuel. It is the same fuel used to heat many homes.

There are two different ways to fuel a natural gas vehicle – compressed natural gas which can be used to fuel passenger cars, pick-up trucks, buses and shuttles and liquefied natural gas for ferries, ships, rail, and other industrial uses.

  • Over 40% in fuel cost savings
  • Both simple and convenient fueling process
  • Non-toxic and non-corrosive
