Dollar Energy Program

Apply for a one-time grant to help pay your past-due balance. You may receive up to $300 if your service is at risk of disconnection or already turned off. Funding is limited, so apply early while funds are available. Dollar Energy will determine customer income eligibility.

You may qualify for this one-time grant if:

  • You are required to have paid minimum payment of $100 within the last 90 days.

  • The applicant name must match the account name associated to the service address.

Number 2Apply for seasonal bill assistance

  • Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) provides a one-time credit toward your heating bill.
  • Available to income-eligible customers.

  • Applications typically close March 31.

Number 3Lower your monthly payments (PIPP Plus)

Pay a reduced, consistent amount each month based on your income.

  • Pay 5% of your household income toward your gas bill (or $10 minimum).
  • Remaining monthly charges are credited through the program.
  • Payments stay consistent year-round.

Number 4Stay current after leaving PIPP (Graduate PIPP Plus)

If you no longer qualify for PIPP Plus, you may be able to continue on a structured payment plan.

  • Helps bring your account current over 12 months.
  • Monthly payment is based on your previous plan and billing average.
  • Includes credits toward past balances when payments are made on time.
