* For the purposes of the incentives described in this document, Business Partner incentives are available to design engineers, engineering consultants, HVAC contractors and third-party contractors in Enbridge Gas’ service area (Ontario only). The complete list of eligible equipment and customer incentives is outlined in the Enbridge Gas 2025 commercial energy efficiency programs brochures and on our website.
Incentives are only made available to customers where Enbridge Gas energy efficiency offer(s) have impacted the customer’s decision to proceed with the improvement(s). The customer must be the owner of the applicable energy-efficient equipment and have an active Enbridge Gas account in good standing. Incentive offers are available between Jan. 1, 2025 and Dec. 31, 2025 (natural gas equipment must be installed by Dec. 31, 2025). Eligible market-rate multi-residential buildings will need to demonstrate either at least 30 percent of units are rented at less than 80 percent of the median market rent, determined by the Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation, based on the information gathered during rent roll review by Enbridge Gas, or the building has participated in a federal, provincial, or municipal affordable housing funding program in the last five years.
The maximum Business Partner incentive covered with the fixed incentive program is $1,000/project for all qualified energy-efficient equipment, except for multi-unit residential in-suite projects incentives at five percent of the total customer incentive per building. Multi-unit residential incentives apply to buildings exceeding 600 m2 in building area or exceeding three storeys in building height and used for major occupancies classified as residential occupancies; these incentives are not applicable to affordable housing multi-residential buildings. As described in Division A of the Ontario Building Code (per section 1.1.2.2. Application of part 3, 4, 5 and 6). Multi-unit residential in-suite incentives for customers are capped at a maximum of $50,000 for ERV projects and $25,000 for HRV projects. See full details on our website.
To receive any incentive, a completed 2025 commercial and industrial or affordable housing multi-residential energy efficiency fixed incentive application form, proof of purchase matched to the installation address and one of the following documents must be provided to Enbridge Gas: (i) project quote that shows Enbridge Gas incentive, (ii) technical input sheet (TIS) or (iii) customer/business partner email acknowledgement of Enbridge Gas incentive. All commercial and industrial incentives are paid on a per-unit basis unless otherwise indicated. The Business Partner One-Time Bonus Offer is awarded and paid out once at year-end based on the total number of qualified units installed between Jan. 1, 2025 and Dec. 31, 2025 (inclusive). Qualified units are measures that are approved for customer incentives through the fixed (prescriptive) incentive program. Multi-unit residential in-suite projects, custom projects, and affordable housing multi-residential project are excluded from the One-Time Bonus Offer, under fixed incentive program. Under affordable-housing multi-residential incentive program, multi-unit residential in-suite projects and custom projects are excluded from the One-Time Bonus Offer.
