Testimonials

The Regional Municipality of York participated in the Savings by Design Affordable Housing program in 2016 for their Woodbridge Lane project: a redevelopment of three properties into new, affordable apartments for renters with mixed incomes.

“By working collaboratively with Enbridge Gas early and often in the initial building design process, it opened the doors for integrated design with more options for energy savings. The result of this collaborative approach was increased sustainability, a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions and an improved carbon footprint.”

Kelly Miller
Manager, Infrastructure Asset Management, Regional Municipality of York

Sustainable Buildings Canada has facilitated Savings by Design Affordable Housing integrated design process workshops for Enbridge Gas since 2017.

“We have 100 to 200 experts we can call on to bring your team up to speed on the latest in green building. The strength of the program is this roster of experts—you’d never have access to all these people.”

Mike Singleton
Executive Director, Sustainable Buildings Canada
