Uncover your energy-efficiency potential with an energy audit
Looking to reduce operating costs but not sure where to begin? An energy audit can be a blueprint to identify and quantify potential energy-saving measures on key systems and equipment. Get incentives to offset the cost, and expert help to map out a plan to achieve ongoing savings, year after year.
Energy assessments and meters incentives
Get incentives to help offset the cost of identifying and measuring energy-saving opportunities.
Funding tiers*:
- Institutions: Receive up to 50% of eligible assessment costs, to a maximum of $20,000 per project.
- Other commercial sectors: Receive up to 50% of eligible assessment costs, to a maximum of $10,000 per project.
Eligible activities include:
- Engineering feasibility studies
- Steam trap surveys
- Air and water balancing
- Metering installations
These incentives can also be applied to energy audits, steam trap audits, or meters. Meters may be used for measuring natural gas, steam, or hot water.
| Previous year natural gas consumption (m3) | Maximum incentive |
|---|---|
| ≥100,000 and < 300,000 | up to $6,000 |
| ≥300,000 and < 10,000,000 | up to $10,000 |
| ≥ 10,000,000 | up to $20,000 (institutions only) |
Why conduct a study or assessment?
-
See how and where energy is being used.
-
