Rapid air doors only open when needed and quickly/automatically shut when the entryway is no longer in use. They are typically used at exterior shipping and receiving doors or interior doors between plant areas of different temperatures. Rapid air doors can contribute to energy savings through control of air transfer, increased employee comfort and the elimination of ice and fog in cold storage areas.
