How does the Distributor Discount Program work?

As a participating distributor/dealer, you’ll be reimbursed a rebate amount for eligible high-efficiency foodservice and HVAC equipment—instant discounts you can pass along directly to your customers.

Is new construction eligible for this program?

New construction is eligible for this program, but may require additional approval information.

Is sales and marketing support available?

As a participating distributor, you’ll have access to marketing materials, complimentary sales training and other tools to help promote energy efficiency to your customers.

Can contractors participate?

Yes, rebates are applied at the distributor point of sale—you may choose to pass on any level of discount to your customers.

I don't have an installation address—can I use my business address?

No, your customer’s installation address is mandatory to claim the rebate, and must have a valid Enbridge Gas commercial natural gas account or be a commercial business within IESO territory.

Do I need to enter an account number when submitting a project?

You don’t need to submit an account number, but you will need to provide an installation address and business name to verify your rebate.

Can products purchased through this program be installed outside of Enbridge Gas service area?

No, to qualify for the rebates, natural gas products must be installed in commercial and industrial buildings within the Enbridge Gas (or former Union Gas) service area. To qualify for electrical measures, customers must be connected to the IESO-controlled grid. Since this is not the case in Cornwall, customers served by Cornwall Electric are not eligible.

What if my product isn’t on the qualified product list?

Please contact your program administrator to review qualified products.
